  • Biography

Michael Bruckner is a GPS Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at NYU Shanghai. Most of his research is best labeled moral psychology, ethics of belief, or epistemology of mind. A major project of his explores the prospects for the unorthodox view that one person can be directly aware of another's character traits, rather than having to infer them from known behavior, thought, or feeling.

His research intersects with debates concerning reactive attitudes and doxastic wronging, moral knowledge and mental externalism, virtue and disposition, consciousness and mindreading.
